Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an NPI Supervisor to join a client in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The role is 100% onsite.

The NPI Supervisor is responsible for leading cross-functional project management activities, driving new product introductions (NPI), and ensuring manufacturing readiness through strong technical leadership. The position oversees project execution across the full product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and delivery expectations. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives, engineering documentation control, and value engineering efforts to optimize manufacturability and product performance.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Management

  • Lead cross-functional cooperation including scheduling, task allocation, communication, customer audits, and team training.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and progress to top management.
  • Manage and support new project introduction and development activities.
  • Own NPI KPIs and ensure targets are met across phases.
  • Coordinate and support MPM in preparing and executing the five APQP stages: Planning, Design, Development, Validation, and Corrective phases (as applicable).

Operations, Quality & Compliance

  • Drive activities required to develop, implement, maintain, and improve the Quality System, environmental standards, and security best practices.
  • Ensure engineering documentation and project procedures are accurately formulated, updated, and maintained.
  • Support continuous improvement programs (including Kaizen) to enhance productivity, quality, and processes.

People Leadership

  • Manage headcount (HC) planning and allocation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to engineers, technicians, and cross-functional team members.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Degrees in Electronics Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields are a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar supervisory or project management role.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on NPI experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a team leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • At least 4 years of experience managing department-level KPIs.
  • At least 4 years of experience leading continuous improvement programs (e.g., Kaizen).
  • Minimum of 4 years managing procedures and project documentation.

Technical Knowledge & Certifications

  • Strong technical knowledge in electrical or mechanical engineering, CAD tools, PCBA-SMT processes, regulatory standards, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Proven project management experience, including scope definition, planning, resource allocation, and execution tracking.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with experience in root cause analysis and solution development.
  • Familiarity with Core Tools, IATF, VDA, ISO 9001:2015, and IMDS.

    • Risk Management (ISO 31000:2018)

  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English (verbal and written) is highly preferred for effective communication with global teams and suppliers.
